Mad Max Buick up in this bitch.
This is necessary to get to the radio. Ugh.

I can have my dash torn apart all of the way to the radio in about 45 seconds. Similar in my Grandpa's 01 Yukon.

My dad had to do this in his truck to change the lights in the radio. Total pain in the ass. He still can't get the face to sit on the dash right now.

I could probably do it in short order now that it's back together minus one screw that is impossible to get to without needlenose pliers + a phillips bit, but it serves next to no purpose other than being a pain in the ass. Now that it's gone I just unscrew two screws for the glove box, pull off a wood trim piece, then pull HARD on the dash to get it out. Putting it back in so that all the metal clips line up is another matter entirely.

Yeah, I have a light out in my steering wheel (lol nope it can stay that way) and one in my radio which I tried to get to and couldn't. Meh, I can deal.

Yeah, you have to basically disassemble the entire radio to get to anything. Not really worth it.

That car looks luxurious enough, leather, tape/CD player, climate control, and possibly a sunroof too? :)

Yeah, the dash on the Ranger *should* have like, 8 screws in it, but the other trim pieces hold it in, so I'm just like "LOL fuck it". The Yukon is as easy as putting the column selector in 1st, lowering the steering wheel, and pulling the trim panel off.

I really wish I had a sun roof, though the CD player barely works, the radio is shite, the speakers are good and the cassette works, so yay, the AC condenser crapped out, and dear sweet baby jesus I wish I had a sunroof.

My next project is replacing all the instrument panel lights with red LEDs, because it's the early 2000s again.

I need to re do all of the bulbs in my truck as well. The Only reason the idiot light isn't on is because the bulb burned out. However, the only reason it was on in the 1st place is because of the way Ford managed emissions in the 80s.

And mine is on because I bent my O2 sensor (the after-cat one) when the exhaust fell off of a hanger, and I might have also melted it a little bit. Hmm. Gonna have my PCM tuned and see if they can remove all references to that damn emissions sensor while they're at it. From what I can gather it has absolutely no bearing on how the engine runs, so good riddance to it.
Also I'm sick of seeing the "Service Engine Soon" light.

That's actually...pretty fucking awesome! Leave it I dare you.

Yep, but without the ugly grey plastic hideousness of 90s and early-2000s Pontiac interiors. Even in 2003 a Gran Prix interior looks like it's from '95.

Or go farther. Rear bench seat isn't necessary... nor is the passenger seat. Buick superleggera?

That's.... a pretty good idea, actually. If nothing else it would be funny.

Yep! Scrap it all! Add some lightness haha
